competitive sniping rules!

The Basic Rules

- A obvious rule, only the specific sniper rifles are allowed for each Call Of Duty. No assault rifles, sub machine guns, light machine guns, knifes, throwing knifes, grenades, stuns, equipment of any kind are allowed in Competitive Sniping, only the specific sniper rifles are allowed to be used. If anything other than the specific sniper rifles are used during a clan match then a warning will be issued, if any team gets two warnings then they will forfeit that map. If any player uses anything other than the specific sniper rifle you should provide proof of this to the moderator and then they can deliver the disqualificationf for that map.

- Clan matches are played in a 4v4 format, meaning that each team is only allowed 4 players to play at any given time, these players can also be swapped around at any given time too. Clan matches are a best of 3 format also, meaning that you must win two games out of the 3 to win the clan match, your team will get to host one of the games and will get to pick the map and game mode that is played on your host. If the clan match goes to a third game (1-1) then a neutral host (A player that is in neither clan or in one of the clans but is not allowed to play) must be appointed, the winner of the first game in the clan match will get to pick the game mode and the winner of the second game in the clan match will get to pick the map.

- "Hardscoping" is not allowed, this is where you aim in with a sniper, all the way into the scope and you look for a kill for more than 2 seconds before you shoot, instead you must "Quickscope", this is where you aim in with a sniper but you are only in the scope for 1-2 seconds before shooting, this may take some practice if you are new. If any player is caught hardscoping once then they will gain one warning, if a team gets two warnings then they will forfeit that map of the Clan Match. Clan Matches are based in a best of 3 criteria so if you forfeit two maps then you will lose the clan match by disqualification, if your team is hardscoped in a game of a clan match twice, you must watch both killcams and then send proof of this to a moderator to get the DQ for that map.

- If any team does not like the connection that the opposing team is playing on then they can request to change the connection once, after this if the connection is suitable (4 bar for same area host, 3 bar for foreign host) then the team that is hosting can deny any further requests made to change host. Most teams will blame a loss on the connection of the game as the host of the game can have a considerable advantage over their opponents, if the connection drops to a 1/2 bar twice then the host must be changed as it is not suitable for either team to play on.

- The maximum number of players any team can have in a clan match is 8 players, this is so that each team can have a equal amount of substitutes to bring into the match at any time, if there are spectators in the lobby and they are filling a spot on the team that is needed by the clan then they must go to spectator mode on request, if not the host can end the game and kick them from the game.

- Once you know that the other team has got two warnings then you must immediately stop the game to get a disqualification, you cannot wait until the end of the game to see if you lose and then call for the disqualification, if you are not host you will have to ask the host to end the game. If the host does not end the game upon request just leave the game and provide the proof to the moderator, the moderator has the final say on rulings like this and if you have good proof then you will be rewarded.

What is not allowed?

- Spawn glitching is not allowed during the game and will result in one warning if any player is caught doing it during the game, as with hardscoping if any team gets 2 warnings then they will forfeit that map. Spawn Glitching is where a player spawns out of the game by going to spectator and then comes back onto the team to spawn in before their team mates, this is most common on Headquaters when the opposing team is destroying the Headquaters that you just held. As with hardscoping if you see a opposing player try this during the game then proof must be shown to the moderator to gain a warning for that map.

- Jump Shotting is not allowed during the game and will result in one warning if any player is caught doing it during the game, as with hardscoping and spawn glitching if any team gets 2 warnings then they will forfeit that map. Jump Shotting is where a player looks into their scope whilst behind a object or in plain view, jumps and then shoots somebody whilst in mid air or falling to the ground, this is just another form of hardscope and is against the rules. As with hardscoping and Spawn Glitching if you see a opposing player do this during game then proof must be shown to the moderator to gain a warning for that map.

- Double Rostering is strictly not allowed in Competitive Sniping on the same Call Of Duty, this is where a player is in 2 different teams for one call of duty but is most likely using a different name and is said to be "undercover". Competitive Sniping is already very inactive now and it doesn't help the situation when people decide to go undercover for teams when they could just make their own team and make it more fun for everyone. This gives people more teams to play, more videos to then upload and also it provides more teams for tournaments. If you have proof of any player double rostering then send this to a moderator and this player will be banned from Competitive Sniping.

- Booting people offline is strictly not allowed in Competitive Sniping, this is where a person uses a players IP Address (Usually from Skype) to disrupt their router completely from using the internet in their own home, this is just a very cowardly and pathetic thing to do over a video game and will not be tollerated in the slightest. If any player is caught to be booting people offline or even threatening to boot people offline then this player will be banned permenantly from Competitive Sniping.

- Glitching in Competitive Sniping is also strictly not allowed in Competitive Sniping, a "glitch" is where you step outside of the boundaries of the game, where you find a spot in the map that was not intended to be used by the developers of the game and you use it to gain a advantage on your opponent. For example, getting on top of the map, out of the map and under the map is strictly against the rules, if any player does this during a clan match then this is a instant forfeit of that map. If you see any player using glitches during a clan match then provide proof of this to the moderator and they will be given the disqualification for that map.

- A game changer in a clan match will result in a automatic disqualification of that map, this is where a player from either side acts out side of the rules deliberately to change the outcome of the game. For example, if the score is tied 2-2 in Caputre The Flag and one team is about to cap and a player from the opposing team hardscopes them and this stops that team from capturing that flag to win the game. This can also be done on Sabotage, Domination and Headquaters, if any player acts outside of the rules and this consequences in a game changer then that team will automatically forfeit the map when proof is provided to the moderator.

- If a player from your opponents clan is on your team spectating you then you have the right to tell them to swap teams, go to spectator or even leave the game if needs be, if they refuse to do so then not only will the opposing team get one warning but you can request to end the game and kick that player that is spectating you. Some teams like to use Skype to communicate instead of in game chat, this then means if someone is sitting on your team spectating they can call out your exact position to their team mates and give their team a considerable advantage to win the game.

- If you are mid way through a clan match and you have other commitments to go to you can decide to postpone the rest of the clan match until the next day, you can not however postpone the clan match again, the rest of the clan match must be played in the next 24 hours after it was postponed. If a team does not show up to the clan match then proof of this must be provided to the moderator, if this proof is deemed worthy then the team that did not show up for the clan match will lose. A easy way to do this is to tell the moderator once the match has been postponed, tell them the time it was postponed, what stage the clan match had got to, then request the moderator to be in the game the next day so that they can oversee if the opposing team turns up or not.

- What happens if the game ends? If at any point the game has ended during a clan match then the host must be established and the clan match will carry on from the point that it was ended. For example if the game is ended with 2 minutes to go on Capture The Flag then the clan match must be played for only 2 minutes. Also whatever the score was will carry on when the game is restarted, for example if the Headquaters score was 100-50 when the game ended then each team should remember how many points they need to win that game. Once the end of the game is reached the host must end the game immediately, if they choose not to end the game then just leave the game and provide proof of the score when the game was ended and when the game should have been ended to the moderator.

- What happens if we don't have enough players to finish the game? If any of your players go offline for any reason or leave the game then you can request that the host ends the game immediately however if it is at a important point in the match (during a headquaters cap, whilst the bomb is planted, whilst the flag is pulled) then the match must be played until that section of play is over. If the player lags out or goes offline before this point then the game must be ended immediately, to make sure of this you can just leave the game before the other team caps the hq, plants the bomb or pulls the flag.

- What happens if we cannot connect to the other teams host? If your team is having trouble connecting to your opponent then you should tell them to change the host, you can do this as many times as is needed to get into a game with each other. If you cannot connect to any of the opposing teams players then a neutral host should be appointed for that game, if one of your team can connect however then this means the host is fine and your players are the problem. If this happens your team should try quitting the game and coming back on or going to main menu, this refreshes the Call Of Duty servers so that you can join any host (usually due to strict nat type).
